About

Caitlin Boyle - Dirt Diva

Caitlin Francke Boyle

I grew up surrounded by exquisite ocean and farmland views in Sagaponack, NY, part of the now-famed Hamptons. The memory of that beauty has driven me to build views wherever I lived.  First Baltimore, then Philadelphia and now Chatham, NJ.

Throughout my high-intensity careers as a journalist and social media executive, the garden was where I felt joy and calm. I got hooked on gardening while working in Baltimore as an investigative journalist covering the broken court system. That work resulted in two Puliter Prize nominations but also some harrowing days. The garden views helped me refuel and recover every day to go back at it.

When we moved to Philadelphia and then Chatham, I changed careers to social media but the garden remained the one constant. I realized I wasn't just making beautiful outdoor spaces - I was fundamentally designing my own joy, creating happiness from the ground up and I wanted to do that for other people. I opened Dirt Diva Designs, a full-service landscape design firm, in Chatham, NJ, and trained at the New York Botannical Garden in Landscape Design. I love creating outdoor spaces for my clients that I know will bring them joy for years to come.
